SR9-1-1 services Stanislaus County, the heartland of the Central Valley located just 90 minutes from two of the largest consumer and industrial marketplaces - San Francisco and the Silicon Valley. Stanislaus County offers a mix of rural communities, a metropolitan city, and a moderate climate conducive to many outdoor activities and adventure.
SR9-1-1 provides twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week public safety emergency dispatch service and is the answering point for the 911 telephone system. Dispatching is provided for 22 Law Enforcement and Fire agencies within Stanislaus County.
Call processing and dispatch protocols are developed in conjunction with the responder agencies and adopted by our Dispatch Advisory Board (Sheriff, County Fire Warden, Modesto Police Chief and Modesto Fire Chief). SR9-1-1 staff apply these protocols when processing information for dispatch or in providing referral information to callers.
